Ways to Give

 

There are many ways you can give to PUMC during the capital campaign. The list provided below is not comprehensive, but it represents the most significant ways you can participate in the campaign. To learn more, please contact the Church Office or speak to your personal financial advisor.

  1. REGULAR CHURCH OFFERING
    You may write a check or place cash inside your Offering Envelope and put the envelope in the offering each week. Write on the envelope or the memo line the amount for the capital campaign.

  2. ONLINE GIVING
    Philadelphia United Methodist Church offers online giving. Simply click the link to enter a secure page where you will complete the transaction.  One-time gifts or scheduled, recurring contributions are possible and scheduling and amounts can be changed at any time.  You may also review your online giving history through this service.

  3. MAIL OR DELIVER YOUR CHECK TO THE CHURCH

  4. ONLINE BILL PAYMENT SERVICE
    Contact your bill payment service to include PUMC in your regular weekly and/or monthly payments. Checks can be sent directly to PUMC as addressed above.  

  5. GIFTS OF STOCKS, BONDS, AND MUTUAL FUNDS
    You can save capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value for gifts of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have been held longer than twelve months and have appreciated in value. Please contact PUMC if you are interested in transferring these types of assets.

  6. GIFTS OF APPRECIATED REAL ESTATE
    Before you sell real estate, consider the options of donating the property outright or placing the real estate in a trust so you can retain the use of the property for life. There are significant capital gains tax savings as well as a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property if held longer than twelve months.

  7. GIFTS OF INSURANCE
    You can donate an existing insurance policy or name Philadelphia United Methodist Church as a beneficiary to a new or existing insurance policy.

  8.  DEFERRED GIFTS
