“ What an Opportunity “ Update

Our “ First Fruits Offering” ( Sunday , March 4 ) was the official kick off to our “ What an Opportunity “ capital gifts campaign . I am pleased to report that we received $64,049 towards our commitment total of $545,000 . That’s almost 12% !!! ( Prior to March 4 , we felt that 10% would have been a strong start ! )

Over the next 3 years we will remind you about our campaign with skits , testimonials and newsletter updates . On April15th we will accomplish this through our children’s service . Please plan on attending that day , as our kids are excited about our new place of worship………… and their enthusiasm is contagious !

In closing I would like to share a comment from Randy Alcorn, author of “The Treasure Principle” : Throughout the bible there are roughly 2,350 verses concerning money . This is twice as many as faith and prayer combined . The only subject spoken of more often is the Kingdom of God . Why ? Because the Scriptures make clear there is a fundamental connection between a person’s spiritual life and his attitudes and actions concerning money and possessions . Often we divorce the two – Christ sees them as essentially related to one another .
