Safe Sanctuaries at PUMC
Philadelphia United Methodist Church has established an Abuse Prevention Policy and Procedure to ensure that we have a safe and loving place for children and youth to grow in their faith and knowledge of what it means to be a Christian and live out our mission.
Our church mission is "Loving God, Living Faith, Caring Family." If we are not loving God rightly and enacting our faith justly, we will not be a caring family. To permit opportunities where dangerous persons could be working with our children and youth is to push the boundaries of being a caring family. Being a caring family means that we are most protective of our most vulnerable. This is why our church has chosen to institute these policies and procedures - to nurture our children in the caring family of Philadelphia UMC.
